The Daiwa Exceler LT family is no longer an entry-level, but not yet a true mid-range class. This is a case where they say “affordable reels that can compete in equipment with more expensive models”.

Daiwa Exceler LT reels are indeed light. The body is cast from Carbon Light Material Housing. These reels are characterized by a large decorative cover made of silver metallic plastic, covering the body (including the bottom part of the foot) from the back. The body cover is fastened with star-shaped slotted screws (torx).
