Technical details and modern design of the Daiwa Freams reel speak for themselves. The Magsealed housing design reliably protects the mechanism from water and dirt ingress. A softer power transmission became possible thanks to the innovative Tough Digi Gear main transmission technology with an enlarged lead cold-forged duralumin gear with improved tooth geometry.

The body and rotor are produced from a light and rigid material Zaion carbon, developed by Daiwa. In addition, the 18 Freams LT model received a more powerful friction mechanism with a very fine and smooth adjustment. Proven high-class ball bearings are responsible for smooth operation and durability. The picture is complemented by the Twist Buster line anti-twisting system and, for the first time appearing in the Freams design, a machined screwed-in handle.
